Daily housekeeping kept everything fresh.
The curtain barely kept the light out, making it difficult to sleep well.

This place suits me perfectly, offering free wi-fi, luggage storage, and 24-hour reception. Staff once helped recover a lost jewel, and they're always friendly. I recommend this hotel for its value, I'm coming back for Christmas!...

Very enjoyable stay, as always. The property is fairly clean; neat rooms; lovely bed. Stunning and handy location to Buckingham Palace. Good area and great views. Very good service everywhere.

Excellent location, close to paddington tube and a short walk to hyde park.
It is shabby. They double booked us on the first night, we arrived to find that they had arranged for us to stay in a different hotel. For the remaining nights we found the ascot hyde park less than rubbish. We paid extra for a full english breakfast, this was not apparent in the breakfast room. When we complained we were told that we should have asked at reception so we could be given a voucher for the cafe next door (where it costs less than the supplement). The rooms are tired, chipped paint, string for a light pull, hairdryer that didn't work, massive cracks in the bathroom tiles, itchy blankets, blobs of polyfiller everywhere. Not nice.

It is difficult to find anything to say that I liked about this hotel. The picture on the website was not the same as the hotel itself and gave a very misleading impression. Our taxi driver was shocked when he realised we were staying there....

We did not get towels for us two. When we asked, we received two small towels. The day after just a big one as the first day.

The location
I just started complaining yet I found there is a word limit so couldnt fit all my disgusts in, yet here are a few. Rotting wood everywhere, holes in the walls stuffed with toilet paper, broken shower and toilet, the room stank and the lift didnt reach our room level. After complaining it took two days for the bathroom issues to be addressed, the rest never were. I was tossing up between this place and a hostel... please for the love of god, go with the hostel. I would rather hang myself with my own intestines than stay here again

I read all the comments and though I would still try. How disappointing. Staff sleepy, very poor service and the room was far too hot. When asked to take down temperature thy said to open the window.

A prison cell would probably be more comfortable. The bed mattress was bad. Add to that, there was a draft of wind coming through the window that made the room like an ice-box, and all that the hotel offered was an ancient electric heater in the room. There was no central heating in the room. Here's the worst part: the toilet pot was right next to the bed, and the toilet didn't have a door...really felt like a prison cell. Make sure you don't eat curry for dinner, else you know how your entire room is going to smell the next morning! Toilet area around the pot was dirty; very poor cleaning standard. The shower was a hole in the wall and the glass divider that was meant to work as a shower curtain didn't work.
